1. Who this policy is for
This Cookies Policy applies to people who visit our public website at phoenixhealthco.com — including the home page, gym and recovery pages, Insights articles, and other marketing pages.
It does not apply to the Phoenix Health client, staff, or admin portals, or to the iOS/Android apps. Those products use essential cookies for sign-in and security only. We do not use Google Analytics (or other marketing analytics cookies) there.
How we handle personal and health information for clients and staff is explained in our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage (for example, to remember your cookie choice). In this policy, "cookies" includes those similar technologies.
3. Cookies we use
Essential cookies
These are required for the website and platform to work securely. They include session and authentication cookies, security tokens, and anti-bot challenge data processed by Cloudflare and Vercel. Essential cookies do not require a separate opt-in. If you block them in your browser, parts of the site (including sign-in) may not work.
Analytics cookies (optional)
If you choose Accept All on the cookie notice, we may use Google Analytics 4 on public marketing pages (including Insights posts published from our CMS) to understand how the website is used — for example which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices or browsers are common.
Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC. Some processing takes place in the United States. That is an overseas disclosure under Australian Privacy Principle 8. We take reasonable steps to protect this information, including using Google's measurement data-processing terms before analytics is enabled in production, and we do not send health information or your Phoenix Health account identifiers to Google.
Typical Google Analytics cookies are named _ga and _ga_*. They may last up to two years unless you delete them or change your cookie choice.
If you choose Essential Only, we do not set Google Analytics cookies and we do not load the Google Analytics script.
4. What data Google Analytics may collect
When analytics is accepted, Google may process:
- pages you view on our public website (URL and title)
- approximate location derived from IP address (city/region level)
- device, browser, and operating-system information
- referrer (which site sent you here) and campaign parameters
- a random client identifier stored in the analytics cookie
We configure analytics so that it is used for aggregated website statistics only. We do not turn on Google advertising features, remarketing audiences, or user-ID. We do not use analytics cookies for cross-site behavioural advertising.
5. What we do not use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies
- No sale of personal information
- No health information, appointment details, or portal account data sent to Google Analytics
6. Your choice
When you first visit the public website, a cookie notice asks you to choose Accept All (essential + analytics) or Essential Only. You can change that choice at any time using in the website footer (or here), which reopens the notice.
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in and other essential features.
7. Other technical data
Independently of analytics cookies, some technical data (such as your IP address and anti-bot challenge tokens) is processed by Cloudflare and Vercel to keep the website secure and available.
